Six Easy Steps for Pastel Nails

After searching the internet inside out for what seemed like forever I've finally come across an easy nail tutorial for ombre nails! This one is super easy I promise and its quick as well it only took me 5 minutes! Which is a bonus if you're very impatient when it comes to painting your nails like me. Please excuse my short nails, they're usually longer but bagging groceries all day at work have taken a toll on them :(

All you'll need is:
  • 2 different colour nail polishes that compliment each other  (I used pink and purple)
  • glitter polish
  • clear topcoat polish
  • make up sponge
  • nail art rhinestones for decorating (which can be found for cheap here)
  • tweezers (to help put the rhinestones on your nail)
Step One:
Paint your nail polish in two stripes across your make up sponge as shown below. If you want a brighter colour add more nail polish, if you want it to be lighter then use less nail polish.
Step Two:
Take the make up sponge and place the darker colour so its next to the bottom of your nail then press down. You can press on your nail a few times with the sponge to make the colours mix better.
Step Three:
Repeat this onto the rest of your nails. You will need to keep reapplying nail polish to the sponge otherwise the colours will get lighter with each nail.
Step Three:
Paint over your nail with a clear top coat to help blend the colours together and keep your polish from chipping.
Step Four:
Clean around your nails with a cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover to get the excess polish off your skin. Once the clear coat is dried paint over with your glitter nail polish.
Step Five:
While your glitter coat is still wet add a few rhinestones to the bottom of your nails (try center them as much as possible, but if you're like me for my right hand that wasn't as easy).
Step Six:
Finish off with a topcoat of clear nail polish and you're done!

I hope you all find this as easy as I did! xoxo
